I shoot, for the most part, in color. But I've found that certain lighting setups, poses, models and even textures are better rendered in black & white for the final image. When I first got started in medium format photography, I was blown away by the color saturation and punchiness of the images. It took some time to come back to B&W, my first love. In fact, it was only after learning some key techniques for managing B&W images digitally that I felt fully comfortable. I see the world like a B&W photographer - shadows, contrast, unexpected patterns, etc.
